Bees and other small insects routinely travel many kilometers to find food. How do these animals travel one million times their own body length with a brain that is 100,000x smaller than our own? We have a new MA thesis opportunity in the Lund Vision Group to investigate this question! This exciting project will use a new Virtual Reality experiment in which bees forage for food in a computer-generated environment. Are you interested in navigation, insect flight or recording brain activity in behaving animals? Please send us an email and we can discuss a variety of project opportunities! Start times are flexible, for example January-February.
